About Me

I was born and raised in San Diego, California but relocated to Indiana for college. After graduating, I spent three years teaching in an elementary education setting both in person and remotely. I became an educator to make a positive impact on others and create meaningful change. Although I loved my time in the classroom, I found myself gravitating toward the tech industry as education became reliant on utilizing online resources and being skilled in virtual teaching. Ultimately, This is what drove me to find my newfound passion of front-end development.

When I stumbled across SheCodes, I knew it was the route I should take to pivot into this new career. The workshops helped me grow tremendously and develop the fundamentals of front-end development in 6 months. I am excited to venture into this new career while continuing to create meaningful change.
